Wayne "Mitch" Mitchell

Rockport - Wayne “Mitch” Mitchell of Rockport, Texas died January 15, 2023 peacefully in his sleep. He was 91.

Wayne (Mitch) Mitchell was a proud veteran of the Korean War and his 22 years of military service. He also worked on the Trans-Alaskan Pipeline through the Teamster Union. Mitch loved the time he spent living and gold panning in Fairbanks Alaska.

Preceding in death are his loving wife: Marie Alice; great granddaughter: Amethyst Marrapodi; parents: Wayne G. and Rose Marie (Jennings) Mitchell; grandparents; George and Jenny Mitchell.

Survivors include his children: Charles and Deborah Mitchell, Mark and Steven Mitchell and Evelyn Quayle, Debra and Wayne (Terry) Reeves; niece: Linda Orcutt and Jim Orcutt; grandchildren: Jennifer, Nicole, and Edward Mitchell, Jason and Kelly Michell, and Alexandra, Victoria and Steven Mitchell Reeves and Terry Wubbold Reeves and Jason Pete Reeves; Travis, Tracy, Brandy, Trinity, Michael, Mary, Jonnie Reeves; great-grandchildren: Allison, Evan Levi, Kaela, Corban, Aurora, Kyle, Jacklyn, Calliope, Madison, Braxton, Lilliana, Micah, Embry and Elijah Reeves, Connor and Calvin Harty, Evelyn, Christopher, Lillian Marrapodi and Lainey Vance.
