Odem – Willie Gonzales, Jr. passed away peacefully on November 15, 2024 with his family at his side. He was 61.

Willie was born on July 27, 1963, in Sinton, Texas, to Emma (Nunez) and Willie Gonzales. He lived in Odem for more than 25 years but grew up in Sinton. Willie was employed as a boilermaker and most recently worked for Cat Spec LTD. He was an avid car collector, a sharp-dressed man, and had a smile that could light up a room. Willie’s love for his wife, children, and family was immeasurable. He was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend who will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Preceding in death are his father: Willie Gonzales, Sr.; grandparents: Eva Trevino and Angel Nunez; mother and father-in-law: Gabriel and Catarina Lira.

Survivors include his wife: Antonia Gonzales from Odem, Texas; son: Willie Gonzales, III from Odem, Texas; daughter: Gabriella Gonzales from Odem, Texas; mother: Emma Nunez Lopez from Sinton, Texas; brothers: Joe Henry Gonzales from Mathis, Texas; Henry Roland Gonzales from Sinton, Texas; Rodney Gonzales from Tennessee; Eloy Lopez (Sonia) from Sinton, Texas; sisters: Eva Garcia (Robert) from Odem, Texas; JoAnn Gonzales and Melissa Gonzales, both from Sinton, Texas; Shelley Morales (Pedro) from Portland, Texas; Alicia Garcia (Fred) from Corpus Christi, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

Visitation will begin Saturday, November 16, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel in Sinton. Visitation will continue Sunday, November 17, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM at the funeral home. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be Sunday, 6:00 PM at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, November 18, 2024, 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Church in Odem. Burial will follow in San Pedro Cemetery, Odem.
