Sinton – Ynasia Cancino passed away on January 8, 2025. She was 77.
Ynasia was born in Sinton, Texas on February 1, 1947 to Petra (Lopez) and Margarito Cancino. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
Preceding in death is her great-grandchild: Florence Amelia Contreras; parents: Margarito and Petra Cancino; sisters: Mary Lou Soliz, Gloria C. Perez, Elisa Hinojosa, and Alma Perez; and brother: Refugio Cancino.
Survivors include her daughter: Sally Cancino (Benito Naranjo) from Corpus Christi, Texas grandchildren: James Justin Contreras, Julius Aaron Contreras, Sarah Nicole Contreras and Jared Anthony Contreras; great-grandchildren: Anakin Palacios, Malachi Sarabia, Esmae Contreras, Ocelotte Contreras and Eleanor Azul Contreras; brothers: Pedro Cancino (Cruz) from Sinton, Texas and Jesse Cancino (Mary Ann) from Taft, Texas; sisters: Marcelina Martinez from Sinton, Texas and Delfina Cancino from Corpus Christi, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin Monday, January 13, 2025 at 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home in Sinton, Texas. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held the same evening, 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, January 14, 2025, 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Sinton with Father Glen Mullen officiating. Burial will follow in Eternal Rest Cemetery, Sinton.
