Rockport – Yoshiko Brunschmid passed away February 22, 2024. She was 92.
Yoshiko was born October 8, 1931 in Nara City, Japan to Yasue and Korakichi Kawata. She was a current resident of Rockport, but had previously resided in Reedsport, Oregon. She married her husband James on April 20, 1960 in the American Consulate, Sapporo, Japan. Yoshiko became a Naturalized citizen of the US of A on June 17, 1966. She was a loving wife, mother, and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Yasue and Torakichi Kawata.
Survivors include her loving husband of 63 years: James Brunschmid from Rockport, Texas; daughter: Marjorie Brunschmid (Jerry McDougal) from Big Bear City, California.
