Darrow Stephen Lee, 92 died at his home in Sinton, Texas on September 11, 2016.  He was born March 2, 1924 in Smiley, Texas to Stephen and Ella Lee. 
Darrow graduated from Smiley High School.  He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II from December 1942 to October 1945.  He attended and graduated from Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas and later received his Masters Degree from Texas A&I University in Kingsville, Texas. 
He was employed with the Sinton Independent School District which began September 1948 as a teacher and Jr. High Coach.  He later taught and coached at Sinton High School.  In 1962 he began his career as Principal at Austin Elementary and later at Lamar Elementary School and retired in June 1982.  After retiring from Sinton ISD he managed the San Patricio Co. Teachers Federal Credit Union from July 1982 until December 1993.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Sinton.  He was a former member of the Sinton Kiwanis Club.
Darrow will be remembered for his love of his family, nieces and nephews.  He cherished his time at Lake Corpus Christi and was a lifelong supporter of the Sinton Pirates.
Darrow is preceded in death by his father, Stephen Lee and mother Ella Hawkins Lee; his sister Rosabel Griffin; and brother Valdon Lee. He is survived by his wife of 62 years: Frances Boscamp Lee of Sinton, Texas; one son: Rodney Lee of Sugar Land, Texas; one daughter: Karen Lee Loyd (Andy) of Houston, Texas; two grandchildren: J.T. Loyd (Ashley) of Round Rock, Texas and Morgan Loyd Kottke (Jesse) of Moore, OK; 6 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at Resthaven Funeral Home in Sinton on Tuesday, Sept.  13, 2016. The family will receive guests from 4:00 to 6:00 PM.
Funeral services will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Sinton on Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2016 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Rosie Grattan officiating.  Burial will follow at the Sinton Cemetery, Sinton. Pallbearers will be Steve Boscamp, Chris Boscamp, Jay Cohea, J.T. Loyd, Michael Paul Roecker and Brody Killough. Honorary Pallbearers will be Leo Canion, Henry Gonzales. Rene Ruiz and Hector Perez.
