Sinton – Mildred E. Lopez passed away, June 23, 2016. She was 90.

Mildred was born in Rivera, Texas on March 2, 1926 to Pedro and Olivia (Ruiz) DeLaPaz. She spent most of her life in Sinton, Texas. She was formerly a provider for the Yates family.  

Mildred is preceded in death by husband: Antonio Lopez; sons: Eugenio “La Lumbre” Rodriguez; Eloy P. Rodriguez and Nathan Lopez; grandson: Eloy Rodriguez, Jr.; parents: Pedro and Olivia DeLaPaz; sister: Irene Guerra; brothers: Sandy DeLaPaz and Lionel DeLaPaz.

Survivors include sister: Delia Salazar of Sinton, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin Sunday, June 26, 2016, 2:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, June 27, 2016, 10:00 AM, at Sacred Heart Church, Sinton with Father Paul Rajareegam as celebrant. Burial will follow in Eternal Rest Cemetery, Sinton.

Pallbearers will be Anthony Garcia, Presentacion Rodriguez, Andrew Amaro, Richard Salazar, Gilbert Martinez and Gabriel Guerra. Honorary Pallbearer will be Nathan Lopez, Jr.
