Eloy "Pato" Paz Rodriguez

November 10, 1948 ~ April 19, 2016 (age 67) 67 Years Old

Sinton – Eloy “Pato” Paz Rodriguez passed away April 19. 2016. He was 67.

Eloy was born in Sinton, Texas on November 10, 1948 to Ernesto and Edelmira (DelaPaz) Rodriguez. He was a self-employed accountant for more than 40 years. Eloy was a currant resident of Skidmore, Texas but spent most of his life in Sinton, Texas.

Our dearest Father, you have left behind a lifetime of memories that will be held close to our hearts forever. Thank you for being the best dad, the best Popo, son, brother, and uncle! Our dad was a hard working entrepreneur with a passion for numbers. After graduating with a degree in computers from Bee County College, Dad followed all sorts of new and exciting careers. He was a proud “Popo”, who enjoyed hands on adventures such as fishing, putt-putt and skating with his beloved grandkids. Dad never knew a stranger and made all in his presence feel like family. He was known for his optimism, taking one day at a time and finding solutions to problems when it was “time to cross that bridge”. Although his marriage to our mother dissolved long ago, the memo NEVER reached him. He was a constant ray of sunshine in our lives and is already dearly missed. Dad had the most genuine smile that could lift anyone’s spirits. We love Dad so much and are comforted in knowing that his love has tripled in return. Thank you Dad for always loving us, helping us, and being the fighter one can only aspire to be. Our father, Eloy, is a God loving man on his way to be with his beloved son and family in heaven.

Eloy is preceded in death by his son: Eloy “Brother” Rodriguez, Jr.; father: Ernesto Rodriguez; brother: Eugenio “La Lumbre” Rodriguez; nephew: Nathan Lopez; and step-father: Antonio Lopez.

Survivors include daughters: Jessica Rodriguez of Odem, Texas and Amanda (Anthony) Garcia of Odem, Texas; mother: Mildred Lopez of Sinton, Texas; partner: Maria Cardenas of Skidmore, Texas; step-sons: Albert Nunez of Sinton, Texas and Andrew (Christina) Nunez of Killeen, Texas; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; two great step-grandchildren; and an aunt: Delia Salazar of Sinton, Texas.
