Iva Lee Bohanan

Aransas Pass – Iva Lee Bohanan was peacefully called home by our Heavenly Father on February 7, 2018.  She was 90.

Iva Lee was born January 25, 1928 in Green, Texas to Nancy Josephine (Patterson) and William Vickery. Iva Lee was widowed when her children were very young and worked hard and dilengently to support her family. She was cashier at numerous places of employment, including Security Services. Iva Lee dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren.

Iva Lee is preceded in death by her spouses: Fred Austin, Sr. and Benjamin F. Bohanan; and a son: William Chris Bohanan. 

Survivors include a son: Fred Austin, Jr. (Beth) of Aransas Pass, Texas; daughters:  Iva Jaynette Bishop (Charles), Freddie Elene Garnett and Laura Terry (Walter), all of Aransas Pass, Texas; Nancy D. Cady (Ronald) of Brazoria, Texas; a sister: Ezma Karstedt of Woodsboro, Texas; 20 Grandchildren; and numerous Great-Grandchildren and Great-Great Grandchildren.

Visitation will begin Monday, February 12, 2018, 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home, Sinton. The Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, February 13, 2018 10:00 AM at Resthaven Chapel, Sinton.  Burial will follow in Prairie View Cemetery, Aransas Pass.
