Corpus Christi – Katherine Dudas passed away January 14, 2016 at her home in Corpus Christi, Texas with her loving family at her side. She was 88.

Katherine was born in Carbondale, PA on February 18, 1927 to Placido and Mary (Montaro) Alibro. She was a former machinist employed with Barden Corp. in Danbury, CT. Katherine was a resident of Corpus Christi, Texas for the past two years and former resident of Danbury, CT. She was a member of Most Precious Blood Church in Corpus Christi. Katherine was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Katherine is preceded in death by her parents Placido and Mary Alibro; brother Frank Alibro, sisters Cecelia Ferretti; Genevieve Alibro; Rose Scribner; Dolly Cherry and Mary Cwilka.

Survivors include husband: Joe Dudas; daughters: Karen Dudas and Donna Dudas, all of Corpus Christi, Texas; grandchildren: Kyle Conlea, Matthew Bartlett and Ashley McKinzey-Conlea; great-grandchildren: Vincent and Sylus Conlea; and 3 canine companions who are members of the Dudas family: Jobi, Jinx and Bella.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 27, 2016, 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Most Precious Blood Church in Corpus Christi. A Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM immediately following mass. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, January 28, 2016, 11:00 AM at Most Precious Blood Church with Father Bob Dunn as celebrant. Burial will follow at 1:00 PM in Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery, Corpus Christi. Pallbearers will be Kyle Conlea, Matthew Bartlett, Eric Stern, Kenneth McKinzey, Barron Rodriguez and Kenny Watts. Honorary pallbearers will be Vincent Conlea and Sylus Conlea.

In lieu of flowers, monetary contributions may be made to Sylus Healthy Heart Benefit C/O Ashley McKinzey 6181 Saratoga Blvd Suite 117 Corpus Christi, Texas 78414.

The family invites their guests to attend a luncheon in honor of Katherine Dudas immediately following the graveside service at Luciano’s Restaurant located at 1821 S. Alameda Street in Corpus Christi.
