Sinton – Virgil G. Aigner passed away December 20, 2016. He was 77.

Virgil was born on September 13, 1939 in Sinton, Texas to Gus and Ethel (Huey) Aigner.

Virgil proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He retired from the oil field and was formerly employed with McEvoy Oilfield Equipment Co. He spent most of this life in Sinton. Virgil currently resided in George West where he has lived the last 15 years.

Virgil is preceded in death by his parents: Gus and Ethel Aigner; brothers: John Henry Aigner and Bobby Williams; and sister: Velma Nell Burns.

Survivors include a son: Michael Aigner (Rebecca) of Round Rock, Texas; daughter: Dawn Gunn (Brian) of Corpus Christi, Texas; sister: Peggy Semmler of Kingsbury, Texas; and grandchildren: Colton Gunn, Keifer Gunn, Camdin Aigner and Cavin Aigner.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 27, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. A chapel service will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2016, 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Sinton Cemetery, Sinton. Pallbearers are John Robert Flowers, Colton Gunn, Camdin Aigner, Carlos Saldiva, John Huff, Joe Ybanez and Vernon Hendrickson. Honorary Pallbearers are Eddie Hendrickson, Jimmy Aigner, Wayne Cain, Monty Lynes and Doyle Kahn.
