Ingleside – Angelita “Angie” T. Serda passed away October 12, 2016. She was 67.

Angie was born on October 19, 1948 in Taft, Texas to Calixtro and Dominga (Rocha) Torres.

Angie worked as a cook in many restaurants and devoted most of her life as a care giver. She was a resident of Ingleside for almost 20 years and formerly Odem, Texas.

Preceding Angie in death are her parents: Calixtro and Dominga Torres; and brothers: Antonio Torres and Robert Torres.

Survivors include son: Daniel Luis Serda (Annette) of Odem, Texas; daughter: Esmeralda Serda of Ingleside, Texas; brothers: Calixtro Torres, Jr. of Taft, Texas; Jesus Torres (Connie) of Taft, Texas; Ernest Torres (Teresa) of Alabama; and David Torres of Florida; sisters: Irma Olivarez (Larry) of Taft, Texas; Juanita T. Saldana of Florida; Lupita T. Rodriguez of Taft, Texas; grandchildren: Daniel “DJ” Serda; Brianna Serda; Austin Hernandez and Dillon Hernandez; and great-granddaughter: Ava Serda.

Visitation will begin Friday, October 14, 2016, 4:00 PM, at Resthaven Funeral Home, Sinton. A rosary will be held the same evening, 7:00 PM, at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, October 15, 2016, 10:00 AM, at Immaculate Conception Church, Taft with Father Pete Stanley as celebrant.

Burial will follow in Taft Memorial Park Cemetery, Taft Arrangements and care entrusted to Resthaven Funeral Home, Sinton.

Pallbearers will be Jessie Torres, Jacob Torres, Calixtro Serda, Albert Saldana, Jason Rodriguez and Tony Torres.
