Lynn Edgar Kieschnick

Lynn Edgar Kieschnick, 63, of West Sinton, died peacefully in his sleep Wednesday, January 20, 2016.  

Lynn was born December 11, 1952 in Sinton, Texas to Edgar and Esther Ray Kieschnick. He was baptized January 18, 1953 and confirmed April 1966 at Trinity Lutheran Church in West Sinton, Texas. He attended school, grades 1 through 12, in the Sinton school district. Lynn graduated in 1971 and went on to attend Texas A&I University for two years. He left school to marry the love of his life, Janice Lindeman of Sinton, on November 24, 1973. They lived on the family farm in the West Sinton area where he continued his passion of farming for many years. Lynn and Janice were blessed with two wonderful sons, Michael and Patrick.

During Lynn’s younger years, he joined the West Sinton 4-H Club in 1960, and he became a charter member after being in the club for 10 years. As an adult, Lynn served as 4-H leader of the West Sinton club for 30 years.

Lynn was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, West Sinton. He taught Sunday School for 18 years, was Sunday School Superintendent, Trustee and Elder of the church.

Lynn also served on the Sinton Chamber of Commerce Board, Sinton Sports Booster Board and the Sinton School Board.

Lynn was a loving and wonderful husband, dad and “PaPa”. He loved spending time with his five grandchildren and adored each one of them. He was also a faithful friend and will indeed be missed.

Lynn is preceeded in death by his parents, Edgar and Esther Ray Kieschnick; two brothers: Edgar Ray Kieschnick and Lawrence Kieschnick; and father-in-law: Gilbert Lindeman, Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Janice Kieschnick of West Sinton; two sons and daughters-in-law: Michael (Laura) Kieschnick of West Sinton, and Patrick (Camille) Kieschnick of West Sinton; five grandchildren: Greta, Kallen, Lane, Gracie and Faith Kieschnick; mother-in-law: Wilma Lindeman; sisters-in-law: Rebecca Kieschnick of Sinton and Gloria Kieschnick of Friendswood; brothers-in-law: Dennis (Maggie) Lindeman of Sinton, Randy Lindeman of New Braunfels and Scott Lindeman of Sinton; and numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

Visitation will be held Sunday, January 24, 2016 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. The funeral service will be held Monday, January 25, 2016, 10:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in West Sinton. Burial will follow in Sinton Cemetery, Sinton.
