Sinton – Margarita Serrano passed away November 10, 2016. She was 76.

Margarita was born on July 25, 1940 to Espidion and Maria Fonseca. She was a homemaker and lifelong resident of Sinton, Texas.

Preceding Margarita in death are her parents; brother: Espidion Fonseca, Jr.; and sisters: Anita Ramon and Nancy Cortez.

Survivors include sons: Estanislado Serrano, Jr. (Donna Campbell) of Sinton, Texas; Cristobal Serrano of Sinton, Texas and Rene Serrano (Cynthia Ann) of Sinton, Texas; daughters: Marta Cardenas (George) of Sinton, Texas; Margarita Garcia (Jose Angel) of Odem, Texas and Marfa Serrano of Sinton, Texas; brothers: Arnulfo Fonseca and Roberto  Fonseca, both of Sinton, Texas; sisters: Trinidad Saldana of Sinton, Texas; Antonia Zuniga (Joe) of Corpus Christi, Texas and Beatrice Serrano of Sinton, Texas; 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin Sunday, November 13, 2016, 3:00 PM, at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. A rosary will be held the same, 7:00 PM, at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, November 14, 2016, 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, Sinton with Father Paul Rajareegam as celebrant. Pallbearers will be Estanislado Serrano, Jr., Cristobal Serrano, Rene Serrano, Robert Steven Cardenas and Gabriel Hernandez. Burial will follow in Eternal Rest Cemetery, Sinton.
