Rosemarie C. Burns

Aransas Pass – Rosemarie C. Burns passed away July 4, 2022. She was 72.

Rosemarie was born on June 10, 1950 in Sinton, Texas to Marcelina Gomez and David G. Castillo. She was a lifelong resident of Aransas Pass, Texas.  Rosemarie was a former housekeeper and had previously worked at the Army Store in Aransas Pass. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her husband: Benny Burns, Sr.; her parents: David and Marcelina Castillo; sister: Alice Gonzales; brother: David Castillo, Jr.

She is survived by her 3 sons: Albert J. Martin from Aransas Pass, Benny P. Burns from Woodsboro and Joe D. Burns from Aransas Pass; 4 brothers; Charlie Castillo, Raymond Castillo and Robert Castillo all from Aransas Pass, Ray Castillo from Corpus Christi and Albert Castillo from Sinton; 4 sisters: Ida Naranjo from Portland, Marcy Cano from Sinton, Betty Castillo from Aransas Pass and Frances Pina from Corpus Chrisit; 17 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin Thursday, July 7, 2022, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Aransas Pass. A Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be the same evening, 7:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will begin Friday, July 8, 2022, 10:00 AM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Aransas Pass. Interment will follow in San Ignacio Cemetery, Ingleside.
