Odem – Rudy Nino passed away September 20, 2016. He was 83.

Rudy was born in Sinton, Texas on March 11, 1933 to Sisto and Elia (Villarreal) Nino. He was a self-employed carpenter and painter.

Rudy is preceded in death by his wife: Adela Nino; his parents; and brother: Polo Nino.

Survivors include sons: Rodolfo Nino and Fernando Nino of Odem, Texas; daughters: Leonor Orta (Juan) and Yolanda Nino, all of Odem, Texas; sisters: Delia Martinez of Odem, Texas; Elia Botello of Odem, Texas; and Juanita Torres (Tony) of San Marcos, Texas; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will begin Thursday, September 22, 2016, 1:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. A rosary will be held the same evening, 7:00 PM, at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, September 23, 2016, 10:00 AM, at Sacred Heart Church, Odem with Father Isaias Estepa as celebrant. Burial will follow in San Pedro Cemetery, Odem.
