Bill was such a connection to the past and the present...we were friends in high school and found many ways to get in trouble in our small town. As the years passed, we lost many connections, but I could be sure that Bill would be calling around my birthday. Bill, Gary Trump, and I all had birthdays within a few days of each other and I knew that Bill would be calling with my birthday reminder.

I will miss hearing his voice with the birthday call, but will hold all his memories fast to my heart.

Bill will be missed. We were good buddies in high school and college roommates. He always had an incredible amount of energy and a zest for life. If you ever needed to know the details of what old friends were up to, Bill could tell you. He had in incredible memory, and kept track of everyone. To say he was always up for a party would be a monumental understatement. He probably spent too long living on the edge. but he lived life to the fullest and truly loved his family and friends. Many of the best memories of my years as a young adult involve Bill. We just had a connection the lasted even though I didn't hear from him for about 10 years, we reconnected like no time had passed. I was really pulling for him and the transplant and so shocked that the end came so soon...rest in peace, my friend.
