Esperanza V. Tijerina, 69, died Friday, August 21, 2015.

Mrs. Tijerina was born in Sinton, Texas on March 6, 1946 to Pedro and Isabel (Olivares) Vargas. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paulino Tijerina; parents, Pedro and Isabel Vargas; brother, Bernardino Vargas; sister, Ernestina Villarreal and granddaughter, Andrea Tijerina.

Survivors include her sons: Robert Tijerina, Lino (Sonya) Tijerina and Paulino Tijerina of Sinton, Texas; brothers: Paublino (Ester) Vargas and Ignacio (Emma) Vargas of Sinton, Texas; sister: Luisa (Guadalupe) Villarreal of Sinton, Texas and grandsons: Adam and Michael Tijerina of Sinton, Texas.

Visitation will be held Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel in Sinton from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Rosary service will be held Sunday, August 23, 2015 at 7:00 PM, Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, August 24, 2015, 9:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Sinton with Father Patrick Serna as celebrant. Burial will follow at Eternal Rest Cemetery, Sinton.

Honorary pallbearers will be Adam and Michael Tijerina.
