Taft – Fred A. Medina, III passed away October 17, 2016. He was 60.

Fred was born in Sinton, Texas on October 4, 1956 to Frederico Jr. and Elvira (Molina) Medina. He was a retired Structural Fitter and a lifelong resident of Taft, Texas.

Fred is preceded in death by his parents: Frederico Jr. and Elvira Medina; and a brother: Arnulfo Medina, Sr.

Survivors include sons: Fred A. Medina, IV and Joe M. Medina both of Taft, Texas; daughters: Alveisa M. Villalobos (Ted) of Corpus Christi, Texas; Amanda Medina and Cassie Medina, both of Taft, Texas; brothers: Paul Medina (Clarita) of Taft, Texas and Arturo Medina of Gregory, Texas: sister: Elvira M. Vasquez (Ruben) of Sinton, Texas; grandchildren: Jalen A. Acosta, Aubriella Acosta, Samuel Cruz and Aliana R. Medina; and former spouse: Alveisa C. Medina of Taft, Texas.

Visitation will be held Sunday, October 23, 2016, 1:00 PM, at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. A rosary will be held the same evening, 7:00 PM, at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, October 24, 2016, 10:00 AM, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Sinton. Burial will follow in Taft Memorial Cemetery, Taft. Pallbearers will be John Martinez, Mike Medina, Fred Medina, Joe Medina, Ruben Vasquez, Tony Silvas, Arturo Medina and Adam Aguirre.
