To the family of Bill Schmitz.
I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I worked directly for Bill for many years in the Buoy Group of Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. I've been on many research cruises with him. He was the consummate scientist and a dedicated researcher. He was instrumental in furthering my career here at Woods Hole.
May he rest in peace. May your hearts remember him always.
